The Problem

Covid-19 has provided everyone with huge challenges. At Done & Dusted, our main speciality is cleaning medical buildings such as doctor surgeries so as expected our workload increased when these unprecedented times began. As a business we knew the potential exposure would be abundant to our staff and we knew we needed to ensure our staff were as safe as possible when working within these buildings. Not only did it become a legal requirement for key workers to wear protective equipment, but we also wanted to ensure to the best of our ability that our staff were provided with the most effective respiratory equipment.

The Solution

Luckily, we had the help and guidance of Safer Health and Safety to ensure we were keeping our staff safe. When we initially discovered Safer Health and Safety, we were met by directors, Michael and Karen. Their friendly approach in these testing times made our search much more positive.

We have to commend Safer Health and Safety for their demonstrated knowledge in their field. Their knowledge enabled us to move forward quickly and effectively with our purchase and fitting of our respiratory equipment. Through the expert guidance of Michael and Karen, we initially Face Fit Tested a few members of our staff. One hugely important aspect, which initially drew us to their company, was the fact they are 1 of 12 qualified companies to Face Fit Train and Test.

We were particularly impressed with the environment in which Karen and Michael were able to train our members of staff. Their facility in Eastbourne was a professional and calm environment. This was noted and commended due to the current stress of these unprecedented times. The calm environment allowed all of our staff to feel at ease when completing their testing. Our staff were understandably nervous at the thought of wearing a respirator. However, their worries were soon put at ease by the training provided by Safer. This style of training was vital in the results as our members of staff were immediately more confident that we had picked the right company for our Face Fit Testing needs.

After we had completed our Face Fit Testing and our selected members of the team were fully fitted for their respirators, most importantly they were now confident in entering their healthcare environment. Next, we needed the respirators themselves. With very short notice, as our capacity was stretched, Safer then Face Fit tested a few more members of staff and supplied us with F8 respirators. We were incredibly happy with the service provided and with the assistance we received after our Face Fit Testing. With the outstanding help of the Safer Health and Safety team we have a full team of Face Fit Tested staff.

The Result

Now, every single member of our Done & Dusted team is Face Fit Tested, and we are now all able to enter any environment where COVID may be present knowing that we can be confident as we are fully fitted with respirators. We will without doubt be returning to Safer Health and Safety when we need more equipment and if we have any new members of staff that join us who need Face Fitting.
