With expertise in credit control management, my current role as Finance Manager within Safer Health and Safety allows me to deliver strong customer facing communication, support colleagues and run finance accounts effectively and efficiently.
I started my career as a sales executive for Fiat/Lancia and enjoyed the thrill of being one of the first women selling cars. I later joined Abbey National, dealing with clients and figures, before moving into property management, where I liaised with contractors and managed client portfolios.
In 2010, I enrolled to study for a qualification in Accounting, and three years later became AAT Qualified. I took on a new position as Sales Receivable Executive in a business travel company – 12 years later I was managing all of the credit control and accounts receivable.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought great disruption to the travel industry and unfortunately the branch closed with staff made redundant. Through a friend of a friend, I was asked to help out temporarily with some finance and expenses, working for the husband-and-wife business, Safer who specialise in RPE and Health and Safety training. Safer were rushed off their feet supplying NHS surgeries with much-needed equipment and support, and I was keen to help.
With the expertise and guidance of my new colleagues, I am enjoying the challenges and opportunities that this business provides. I am thrilled and privileged to work with the team at this fast-growing company to help make individuals and companies Safer. I have adapted to the new role, swiftly learning to use Quickbooks, which demonstrates my personal qualities of commitment, dedication and the ambition to succeed.
