The question you're dying to know the answer to, do you need to shave for Fit Fit? Find out below.

The short answer to the question, ‘Do I have to shave for Face Fit?’, is – yes.

But it will depend on your individual facial hair situation and you may not need to completely get rid of it all. Here’s an account of a recent situation our Health and Safety Director was involved in…

“We conducted some Face Fit early this morning for a client. One operative had a goatee beard but he didn’t want to shave it off and needed some clarity from me on how he could wear his beard while ensuring his tight fitting face mask fitted properly.

I advised him to take a mask, hold it against his face and have a friend check for visible hair when the mask was fitted. He did this and needed to reduce the amount of hair on his chin, he can now wear his beard and has a simple process to ensure the hair doesn’t get out of control compromising his face fit.”

We treat every person we Face Fit test with respect and always take the time to educate people as we go. If you need any help making yourself or your team Safer, please contact us.
