Our experienced team provides both individuals and businesses with comprehensive Face Fit testing sessions which follow Fit2Fit guidelines.

Based from our HQ in East Sussex and our second office in Bristol our reliable teams work across both the South East and West of England.

If you provide your employees with tight fitting dust masks then you have a legal duty to ensure professional Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) Face Fit testing is carried out so they’re suitable and adequate for each employee. The masks must give the wearer the correct level of protection from the substance and it must compatible with other PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) being used.

Our thorough approach to Face Fit ensures that:

  • individuals and team members are fitted to the correct mask
  • users understand the correct procedures for wearing their masks
  • all masks worn need to be compatible with other PPE
  • proper pre-use checks are carried out
  • you can change the filters successfully
  • you know how to properly store your masks

People come in all sorts of shapes and sizes – it is unlikely that one particular type or size of RPE facepiece will fit everyone. Face Fit testing will ensure that the equipment selected is suitable for the wearer. The masks must be fitted by a competent person, as detailed in COSHH Regulations.

Accredited Face Fit Services

The HSE endorse the Fit2Fit accredited scheme as a good way of demonstrating good practice. Safer is Fit2Fit accredited and listed on the Fit2Fit Register.

In fact, we’re one of a limited number of  fully accredited Face Fit testing and training providers in Sussex and one of only a handful in the South West too.

Face Fit for Infection Control

In addition to Face Fit testing and training for organisations with workers exposed to dust and fumes, we are also partnering with medical services who are working to ensure that staff managing infection control are protected.

At present we will prioritise demand from the NHS.

We can provide references and examples of our reactive work in this area with one of the South’s largest ambulance services.
